Jesse Long

Jesse is Broker In Charge of Birchin Lane Realty Advisors, LLC. Jesse has more than seventeen years of experience in commercial real estate and possesses multi-disciplinary skills across all major product lines of retail, office, industrial, multi-family and mixed-use properties.

Prior to forming Birchin Lane, Jesse was employed by the James Doran Company in the position of Finance & Investments. In this position some of his responsibilities included sourcing capital, asset management and the financial underwriting of the company’s investment and development projects.

Before joining the James Doran Company, Jesse was a member of the Institutional Investment Group (IIG) in Grubb & Ellis Company’s Atlanta office. The IIG team advised institutional and private clients on the acquisition and disposition of institutional quality real estate throughout the Southeastern United States. Prior to joining the IIG team Jesse was Senior Financial Analyst for Grubb & Ellis’ Southern Region. In this capacity he worked as a member of both investment and leasing brokerage teams. Tenant representation clients included Morgan Stanley, BioLab, Heineken USA, Kaiser Permanente and Builders Insurance Group. Jesse also served as a Junior Financial Analyst for the Southeastern Multifamily Group in Grubb & Ellis’ Atlanta office.

Jesse is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, . Jesse is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Realtors and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate. He serves as an officer of Charleston Elves, a philanthropy that provides underprivileged children in the South Carolina Lowcountry with Christmas.

Jesse and his wife, Allison, reside in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He enjoys hunting, fishing, surfing, history and cooking.

Mark H Mizell

A Charleston native, Mark attended The Porter Gaud School and then The College of Charleston where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Business Administration. After college Mark worked at the renowned Ness, Motley law firm before beginning a career in commercial real estate. In 2005 he started as an Agent with The Sadler Group in Charleston, the state’s oldest commercial real estate firm founded in 1893. By 2008 Mark was a licensed Broker and earned the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2010 (http://www.ccim.com/about-ccim/what-ccim).

After nearly ten years in the industry, Mark joined Birchin Lane Realty Advisors as a Principal Broker-Vice President where he continues his focus on the brokerage of retail, office, multifamily and investment properties. Mark’s skills are particularly honed in the analyzation of income producing properties for both investors and developers. Mark is a multiple time recipient of the CTAR Realtor of Distinction – Commercial Circle Award and his work had been featured in Commercial Investment Real Estate (CIRE) Magazine. Mark is licensed in South Carolina and North Carolina and belongs to both the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Catherine Vaughn

Catherine is a real estate broker with Birchin Lane Realty Advisors, LLC. She has a background in project management, investment real estate and business development. Prior to working with Birchin Lane, she was the Director of Marketing for Oswald Cooke & Associates, a local commercial brokerage firm in Mount Pleasant, SC. Before she began her career in commercial real estate, she was Project Manager for ten years at Blackbaud Inc, a computer software company in Charleston, SC. Catherine is a graduate from the Honors College in English Literature from Clemson University, class of 1996. She is a licensed broker in South Carolina and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She is a spinning instructor at Eco Fitness in Mount Pleasant, SC and a member of the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Catherine and her husband David reside in Mount Pleasant, SC with their two children Anna and Charlie.

Richard Callari

Richard Callari is a real estate broker and development manager with Birchin Lane Realty Advisors, LLC.   He specializes in land, multi-family, retail, mixed-use and health care property acquisitions with a focus on value-added real estate opportunities throughout multiple markets.  Prior to joining Birchin Lane, Richard worked with Malone Properties, where he gained in depth knowledge in land entitlement and development focusing on Florida and North Carolina.  In addition, he worked in the aerospace industry where he obtained invaluable skills in networking and negotiations.  Richard has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Commercial Real Estate from The College of Charleston.  He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).  Richard currently resides in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.  He enjoys applying his local knowledge about the unique Charleston area market when advising clients on commercial real estate acquisitions, lease obligations, asset reposition and dispositions.
